The Chroma Ironforge is a handheld red and near-infrared light device designed for targeted, high-intensity light delivery to specific muscle groups and joints. This is a portable red/NIR light device suited for athletes, active individuals, and anyone seeking a compact, high-output alternative to full-panel systems. It delivers an average irradiance above 700 mW/cm² with 75% of its output in the near-infrared range, and completes a session in 30–90 seconds.
Why This Red and Near-Infrared Light Device
Built for targeted delivery — compact handheld form factor directs output to a specific area rather than broadcasting across a large panel, reducing session time to 30–90 seconds.
High irradiance output — average irradiance above 700 mW/cm², with power output to device cost ratio under $10 per mW/cm² per Chroma's published comparison data.
NIR-dominant spectrum — 75% near-infrared output for deeper tissue penetration alongside red wavelengths for surface-level coverage; broad wavelength spread across both ranges.
Flicker-free operation — confirmed flicker-free output, unlike some panel and handheld alternatives.
Portable form factor — ships with a hard carry case for use at home, gym, or travel.
